As we picked through endless cardboard boxes of used, greasy and mismatched bike parts, it was hard to imagine that these items hadn't already seen their best days. Each wheel, chain ring and cassette took their last ride years ago but were about to be recreated and elevated to new heights. Collectively, they would become an incredible piece of illuminated artwork and ultimately give UPCYCLING a whole new meaning. Each piece was artfully placed to create the framework, secure the lighting and compliment the natural drape of the chain. The seven foot high, 500 lb structures feel right at home as the centerpiece to the edgy, energized and provocative downtown eatery, Tako. If you haven't been there yet, go! It's worth the visual journey into the creative! And the food and cocktails are great too! Heritage continues to create custom designs and sizes of our upcycled chandeliers for both residential and commercial clients. We'll even include some of your own used parts, so if the barbie bike is still in the garage and your teenage hasn't taken it for a spin in a while, maybe it's time to update her room!
